Sunraku/Rakuro Hizutome (VA: Yuma Uchida)
The hero of Shangri-La Frontier. A lover of trash games, who’s dedicated his life to beating them all. Countless hours spent battling bugs, terrible game balancing, and other trash game problems have given him an unbreakable will and incredible gamer skills.
Psyger-0/Rei Saiga (VA: Azumi Waki)
One of Shangri-La’s top players. She earned the title “Attack Master” achieving the highest burst damage in the game. Her in-game avatar is a man covered head-to-toe in legendary equipment, but in the real world, she’s a pretty teenage girl who has a crush on Sunraku.
Arthur Pencilgon/Towa Amane (VA: Yoko Hikasa)
The #2 member of the Ashura-kai, a fanatical PK guild that hunts other players. Arthur specializes in strategy and information warfare and has the nickname “No-Lifer Slayer Giant-Killer” because she specializes in fighting stronger opponents. She fought both Sunraku and OiKatzo in other games and has been a rival and fellow gaming comrade ever since. She’s hunting a certain unique monster.
OiKatzo (VA: Kei Uomi)
A fellow gamer that Sunraku met playing a trash game. One of Japan’s best fighting gamers belongs to a pro gaming team under the name “Kei”. In Shangri-La, he plays a pretty girl, but Kei themselves is a man. Meeting Sunraku got him addicted to trash games. He excels in PVP.
Emul (VA: Rina Hidaka)
The guide for the unique scenario that Sunraku encounters, titled “Invitation from Rabituza,” and a main NPC character. Emul is a great ally with powerful magic, like the ability to teleport other characters.
Vysache (VA: Akio Otsuka)
Emul’s father and the leader of a race called Vorpal Bunnies. Larger and tougher than the rest of his race, he is extremely intimidating to look at. When Sunraku visits the rabbit kingdom “Rabituza,” he takes a liking to his bravery and strength and challenges him with various trials.
Psyger-100 (VA: Yumiri Hanamori)
The leader of the top clan “Schwarz Vulf” dedicated to beating Lycagon the Nightslayer. Including Psyger-0 who holds the title of Attack Master, she has many strong players under her belt.
Animalia (VA: Sayaka Senbongi)
The leader of “SF-Zoo,” a clan devoted to observing and taking pictures of monsters. She’s a master Shaman specialized in applying debuff purely to take pictures of monsters. She shows an abnormal fixation on monsters.
Professor (VA: Joji Nakata)
Leader of the lore-studying clan “Library.” With unraveling the secret of Shangri-La Frontier being his top objective, he made contact with Sunraku who once fought a unique monster. Although having a lovely magical girl-like appearance, he has a very deep dandy voice.
Bilac (VA: Miyu Tomita)
Emul’s sister and the eldest daughter of Vysache. She inherited her father’s forge and highly respects his techniques. She speaks in a somewhat fake Hiroshima dialect with a mix of standard Japanese. She’s a very high-level blacksmith and is capable of crafting rather powerful weapons.
Aramis (VA: Hiromu Mineta)
The vice-captain of Musketeers in Boots from the land of Cait Siths, Cazzeria. He has feelings for Bilac and passionately tries to court her, only to be rejected over and over. However, his mastery of the sword is genuine.
Akitsuakane (VA: Yuka Terasaki)
A player who’s been cursed after getting acknowledged by one of the Seven Colossi, Siegwurm the Sky Ruler. She’s a girl with childlike innocence and a sporty attitude, wearing a fox mask and dressing like a ninja.
Ceecrue (VA: Natsuki Hanae)
The son of Vysache and Emul’s brother. He wears armor and speaks in a samurai-like fashion. He brought the adventurer Akitsuakane, who had been acknowledged by Siegwurm the Sky Ruler, to Rabituza to introduce her to Vysache.
